That’s right, you’ll see below my largest harvest to date. Dad, James and I all filled out bull elk tags in Colorado last week. What an incredible experience. Below you’ll see a picture of me, Dad, and James each with our bulls, and a picture of Dad and I while we were packing out one of the three bulls down in one spot. It was by far the hardest “FUN” work of my life, but well worth it. The details are far too great to describe on the blog, so I’ll spare you and share the story with you personally some time.
The trip was also revealing and refreshing for me. I was challenged in ways I never imagined I would be, so to be blessed in the way I was and to come back having made new friends and a great time with family and our friend Ralph in the way I did, I feel truly undeserving to have had such an experience. I humbly thank the Lord for such an opportunity and for showing me what I look like on the inside now compared to what I CAN look like with His help.
You can see by the pictures how HUGE they are compared to us. They really are amazing creatures, and yet even in their enormity, they seem small compared to the vastness of the terrain and surroundings.

Amazing! I would love to hear of your trip sometime. It is also a life-long dream of mine to go elk hunting. Are you going to get the head mounted?

Just wanted to let you know that you and your elk are the background on our computer because Chip was so impressed with the “kill”. Nice, real nice.

I’m sure those elk were put on this Earth so you could kill them with your “big” gun. Way to fulfill their destiny. You saved them from the pain of dying from old age with a bullet through the heart. Bravo!

ya way to kill innocent animals that don’t even live in your own state. you are such a mean jerk i can’t believe you would mess up the ecosystem like that. how could you kill one of God’s beautiful creatures?
