AND in response to your statement of “no matter how rudely they say it, is not unbiblical at all” I have to disagree with the “what the Westboro church is saying part”.

What does Westboro say?
-God hates fags
-It’s good soldiers are dying
-God is killing the soldiers
-God is dooming America (as if we’re special compared to the rest of the world)
-Our Armed forces is full of cowards
-Not to mention the protests being done at funerals with families in mourning?

God doesn’t hate fags. He loves them. A God who wants NONE to perish (2 Peter 3:9) and all to come to repentance seems like one who would regretfully send ALL unrepentant sinners into the reality of hell. We have our favorite sins we love to single out, and somehow skip over the “simple” ones like lying, cheating, stealing, heterosexual fornication and treating our bodies like playgrounds. A message is lost in how you say it, whether its right or wrong. And thanks to their “approach” to giving their message because of the banner they were, the rest of us are left to crawl out of the ashes in hopes of recovering and showing some of the Love Christ talked about us giving to the world around us.

The Phelps Klan may spread the message where they shouldn’t be – the funerals of straight soldiers, but the message that homosexuals will go to hell is a very real one according to the Bible.
